方寸小天地，知识大海洋。世界上许许多多的人之所以陶醉于那迷人的绚丽多彩的邮票之中，不仅是因为这些微型艺术品给人以艺术的享受，也不仅是因为它具有增值功能，给人带来经济实惠，更重要的是想透过集邮这扇窗口，眺望历史长河，了解和认识大干世界，不断丰富自己的知识。 从本书的取名，读者可能一眼就会看出，这是一部展示妇女人物邮票的书，也是一部介绍中外妇女名人故事的书。 世界妇女界人才济济。在我的这一专题邮票中？有杰出的女革命家、女政治家、女权运动的先驱者和英雄人物，有卓越的女科学家、女教育家、女文学家、女艺术家、女歌星、影星、球星，还有女皇、女王、王后、公主等。了解她们的家庭身世、独特个性、个人经历、突出贡献和生活趣事，使我增长了不少见识，常常感受到美的享受，并很想将这一感受传达给更多邮友和广大妇女同志。于是在朋友的建议下，我挑选出一百多位女名人，附上有关她们的邮票二百多枚，编成了这本书，并于1987年由陕西人民教育出版社正式出版。 此书出版后受到读者的厚爱，1989年还被评为“全国最佳妇女儿童图书”之一，并在全国集邮展览中获奖。此后几年间，出版社和我本人不断收到全国各地读者的索购信函，但遗憾的是书已售专罄。

内容提要本书以通俗易懂的文字，扼要地讲解了烹调的基础知识、营养卫生和成本核算，又分类介绍了常用的近40种烹调方法的操作要领和代表菜肴。全书选编的菜肴以大众菜肴为主，亦兼顾各地的风味特色，共有480余种；常用的茶点和风味小吃共有60余种。并按烹调方法选配彩照100幅，插图86幅，书末附按原料分类的菜点目录等资料，供制作时参考。本书由名厨编著，内容丰富，形式新颖，图文并茂，指导性强。不仅可供中小型餐馆、单位食堂的专业烹饪人员和职业技校师生作为自学或培训使用的技术读本，也可作为城乡广大家庭日常使用的烹调参考书。

本词典共收词目2017条，分为：一般名词术语，学派、风格，开局，中局，残局，重要比赛、竞赛制度，人物、组织、著作、报刊等七个门类。词目按门类分类排列。另附录三种：国际象棋联合会的国际象棋规则、中外名手对局选、国际象棋重要比赛成绩表。词目名称一般以习见常用者为主。其有一词数名或一词数译者，酌采其中比较恰当或俗成者为正条，其他为参见条。参见条例无释文。一词多义，如属同一门类的，用1、2、3……分项叙述。如分属两个以上门类的，则由各门类分别叙述。释文中的*符号，表示该词在本词典中另有专条解释，可供参阅。外国人名和组织采用较通行的译法。对一些译音虽有出入，但至今仍习用者，则根据约定俗成原则沿用。外国人名词目一般附注外文。释文和附录中涉及棋赛和棋手所创成绩（名次），一般介绍到1985年底为止。本词典附有部分器材和棋谱插图，共1314幅。书前刊有按正文排列的《分类词目表》，书末附《笔画索引》。
