本研究提出了二语成语加工多维限制动态凸显假说,即在控制干扰变量的前提下,成语的组构性、学习者的认知结构、母语与二语成语的一致性以及语境均影响中国中等水平英语学习者对二语成语意义的识解,促使成语的意义以成分词或整体的形式存储于心理词库,导致不同类型成语的语义或成语的不同语义类型得以凸显。这些因素涉及的核心关系以及概念结构源自不同的心理空间。二语成语语义加工是二语学习者在概念整合优选原则的支配下,获得最佳关联的结果。本书的相关研究对二语成语在线加工研究具有一定的启示作用。就理论层面而言,验证了构式的原型效应、频率效应以及语境对语义动态凸显的影响;丰富了Abel(2003)的成语双重表征模型的相关假设,发现二语成语双重表征模型的影响因素不仅源自构式的语内理据即成语的组构性,构式的语际理据即母语与二语成语的一致性同样导致二语成语呈现双重表征模式。从成语组构性和母语与二语成语一致性的角度揭示了构式的语内理据和语际理据对构式语义动态凸显的影响,拓展了语义动态凸显的维度;就研究内容而言,证明了成语内部与外部因素对二语成语语义识解的影响,拓展了二语成语加工研究的内容。此外。从研究方法来看,严格控制了干扰变量如成语熟悉度与长度的影响;建立了二语成语数据库,完成了以二语学习者为评价主体的成语熟悉度以及组构性评定工作,编写了相关实验材料,可为后续二语成语实证研究提供参考。本书从多个维度考察了影响二语成语心理表征与语义在线加工的因素,丰富了对成语内部结构以及二语学习者成语认知结构的认识。相关研究结果可作为二语成语教学、大学英语教材的编写、英汉语言对比与翻译研究的参考。
作者简介
屈典宁,湖南衡阳人。中南大学外国语学院副教授,博士,硕士生导师,入选中南大学531人才建设工程项目第二梯队,多次获中南大学本科生教学质量优秀奖,指导学生参加全国大学生英语竞赛获得C类特等奖两次和一等奖两次。2016年1月-2017年1月期间,受国家留学基金委资助,在夏威夷大学二语习得系访学一年。主要研究领域为应用语言学。主持校级教改课题四项、省级课题三项,作为主要成员参与国家社科基金项目一项。在《现代外语))《外语教学》《外语界》等CSSCI期刊发表论文5篇。
