作者简介
考古研究所成立于1950年8月1日,1977年改属中国社会科学院。其基本任务是,在马克思主义的指导下,以田野考古为基础,应用包括自然科学技术手段在内的各种方法,并结合古代文献,揭示史前及各历史时期不同类型文化遗存的内涵、特征、性质及其相互关系,进而对古代的政治、经济、文化、社会进行全方位的考古学研究,探讨古代社会发展演变的进程和规律。同时,开展对古代文化遗产的保护研究。该所致力于充分发挥其作为中国考古学的学术研究中心、科技考古实验研究中心、考古资料信息中心、中国考古学对外学术交流中心的作用,已经成为学科门类齐全、研究领域广阔、研究手段先进、学术成果丰硕、学术人才众多的国际著名的考古学研究机构。
