This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post proceedings of the international workshop Computer Vision Approaches to Medical Image Analysis， CVAMIA 2006， held in Graz， Austria in May 2006 as a satellite event of the 9th European Conference on Computer Vision， EECV 2006.The 10 revised full papers and 11 revised poster papers presented together with 1 invited talk were carefully reviewed and selected from 38 submissions. 准确诊断面临挑战，医者需想方设法，解燃眉之急。中国科学院中关村医院主要服务对象为科学家，患者多为老年人，其免疫力低，胃肠病多发，且多病共存，易变危重。中国科学院中关村医院超声人不忘初心，扬“中关村精神”，勇于实践，推出胃肠超声造影检查。超声检查具有安全、无痛、无创、价格实惠、迅速诊断等一系列优点，已经成为临床常规的检查方法。但由于胃肠是空腔脏器，常规腹部超声受胃肠腔内气体和内容物干扰，限制了它在胃肠道疾病检查中的临床应用。随着超声诊断设备、技术的不断发展及新型胃肠超声造影剂的应用，胃肠超声造影检查可通过口服或经直肠逆行灌入一种纯粮食制成的无毒副作用的“粥”样造影剂，使胃肠腔充盈，排除胃肠腔内气体及黏液对超声波的干扰，然后再进行检查，较常规腹部超声对胃肠疾病检查的准确性有了明显的提高，不仅解决了以上问题，而且患者易于接受。2018 年国家卫生健康委发布的《胃癌诊疗规范》中，将超声检查列为胃癌常规影像学检查手段，这是对胃超声检查价值的高度肯定。 疫情迁延3年，胃肠镜检查前还需增加系列新型冠状病毒肺炎筛查项目且预约时间延长，给患者和临床均带来极大不便。随着更多患者纷沓而至，特别是对于多器官共病的高龄老人不适合或不愿意做胃肠镜检查而延误临床诊治的情况，超声医学科主任张凤秀主任医师带领团队得到资深专家李建国教授及苗立英教授亲自指导支持，完成了大量的病例检查，收集了大量的超声造影图像与胃肠镜、临床手术及病理资料，总结了实践操作技巧和宝贵的诊断经验。在医院领导高度重视和科教部门帮助下，获得中国超声医学工程学会及北京市继续教育委员会大力支持，以及北京市海淀区卫生健康委员会重视，并作为中国科学院中关村医院用实际行动为中国共产党建党百年献礼工程之一的“中关村首届胃肠超声造影暨超声新技术新进展培训班”于2021年7月3—4日举办，来自各级各地医院超声医学科的近400名同仁积极参加学习和交流。在开班仪式上，“中国超声医学工程学会·中国科学院中关村医院超声医学培训基地”正式揭牌，北京市海淀区卫生健康委员会领导，中国超声医学工程学会会长李建国教授、常务副会长贾建文教授、副会长兼秘书长马晓猛，中国科学院中关村医院院长富大鹏、副院长潘明康、韩永鹏、许影丽，超声医学科主任张凤秀等参加揭牌仪式。中国超声医学工程学会的多个专业委员会的主任委员和副主任委员、北京市及海淀区多家医院的超声科主任等20多名行业知名专家现场见证培训基地授牌仪式，并亲自主持培训及授课，得到了广大学员的高度认可和社会的广泛报道。培训班后，越来越多各地医院特别是基层超声专业医师要求继续参加培训班或到医院进行短期进修，希望中国科学院中关村医院能够提供胃肠超声造影检查技术的技巧及相关检查图谱方面的培训教材。为了满足广大学员们的需求，张凤秀主任克服困难，历经半年余完成初稿。由业务副院长、北京市海淀区老年健康与医养结合服务指导中心副主任潘明康教授修改，并经资深专家苗立英教授审核把关。经过一年的整理、编写和修改，这部凝聚着编者们汗水和心血的实践经验书籍《胃肠超声造影实践及图谱》终于出版。胃肠超声造影检查技术已经在中国科学院中关村医院得到了很好的开展和运用，与CT、MRI等其他影像检查一样，与胃肠镜密切配合，获得了临床医师和广大患者的肯定。这项非侵入性影像学检查手段值得临床普及和推广应用，希望该项技术未来能够蓬勃发展，检查更加规范化，发挥更重要的临床应用价值。
