贯穿我的河（汉英对照）

　　本诗集中的作品虽然断断续续创作于三十多年之间，但是经过从头到尾的有意编排，俨然成了一个连贯的有机的整体，比如以嘉兴而不是杭州这个运河始点城市作为起首，因为我的总体用意不是单纯为大运河做传，而是以河传我；而嘉兴恰恰是作者的祖居地。接着写的是作者的出生地——苏州盛泽， 是北京。因此，这部作品可以看作是作者个人的一部诗歌传记，也可以说是一首自传体长诗。也因此，本作品荣获第六届中国长诗奖之文本奖。由诗人张况执笔的颁奖词说：“北塔以笔为船，犀利划过人们对大运河的凝重认知，进溅出文化长诗的一簇耀眼火花。”
