基于语料库的《魔戒》汉译显化比较研究

本研究基于语料库语言学的工具和方法,系统考察《魔戒》在大陆和台湾两个中译本的连接词使用情况,对比研究两个译本的显化程度。通过与汉语原创奇幻小说和《魔戒》英文原文分别对比译本连接词的使用情况来探索翻译显化、显化的具体体现以及显化受原文影响的程度。作者自建150万字左右的英汉平行语料库,包括《魔戒》英语原文和两个汉译本,并利用与《魔戒》主题相似的奇幻小说《九州飘渺录》建立参考语料库。针对从英语原文和原创汉语对比的角度预设的三个问题,本研究提出一个综合的显化模型。利用对数似然函数找出两个中译本中比汉语原创作品更常用的连接词。采用定量和定性相结合的方法,结合英语原文和汉语原创作品,对照分析两个中译本的连接词使用显化程度。

宋华,闽南师范大学外国语学院副教授,厦门大学和美国蒙特雷国际研究院联合培养英语语言文学博士,人事部一级翻译。主持教育部科技发展中心和福建省社科项目各1项,在Babel,Perspectives和Target等SSCI期刊发表论文6篇。
