In accordance with the requirements of the National Ministry of Education with the goal of promoting international communication, improving English proficiency, and meeting the demands of bilingual teaching in China, we present this textbook "Medical Microbiology". We hope this book will better fit the needs of medical students in China. This textbook includes sections on introduction of microbiology, Bacteriology, Virology, Mycology, and Biosafety designed to improve the ease of study through well-defined sections from microbial structures to diagnosis. Information that is not. pertinent for the understanding of this subject has been omitted to create a more useful reference.All of the authors come from the forefront of teaching and research communities around China. They offer a variety of rich experiences in Medical Microbiology. The editor would like to acknowledge their contributions as well as extend thanks to the Zhengzhou University Publishing House who has helped this project reach its publishable goal.In conclusion, we hope that our textbook can help the students, teachers, and clinicians whereas their nationalities throughout China. Although we have done our best to compile a comprehensive text, we realize some errors may be present due to the language barriers. We welcome any potential revisions or suggestions our readers might make.
