本书是关于瓦尔堡的译作。阿比•瓦尔堡是20世纪卓越的美术史家和文化史家,他生前发表的著述并不多,其作品主要是1933年出版的《文集》,但这个《文集》流传甚少。直到20世纪末,西方出现瓦尔堡复兴,其作品再次受到关注,《文集》才被翻译成英文。英文版《文集》体量巨大,本书去粗取精,收录瓦尔堡著作中较有价值、较为重要的学术成果,同时收录了一些英文版《文集》尚未收入的作品。
作者简介
作者阿比•瓦尔堡,德国20世纪最伟大的艺术史家,现代图像学创始人,其对图像学和文化史的贡献需要重新加以认识与重视。译者吴琼,中国人民大学哲学院教授、美学教研室主任,译有《西方的没落》等作品。
