人格心理学新进展

　　本书主要分为五个部分。第一部分主要探讨了人格的稳定性，这已在上面进行了介绍。第二部分阐述了心理生物系统的个体差异以及与人格特征有关（影响人格或与其存在相互作用）的遗传因素，这里主要集中于探讨人格塑造过程中，生物和遗传因素与社会环境之间的相互作用。第三部分考察的是人格中的个体内加工。由于社会加工并非普遍存在的，其在一定程度上依赖于个体的解码，因此，该部分主要考察了影响社会行为的认知、情感和自我评价过程。接下来，第四部分主要关注的是与社会加工有关的关系背景。这部分的文章表明，人格加工中富有意义的变化，与那些重要的长期性社会关系之间存在着密切联系。需要说明的是，虽然本书分别探讨了人格的个体内加工和个体间加工，但二者之间并不存在固定不变的界线，事实上，它们之间有着持续不断的相互交换过程。最后，第五部分探讨了人格与健康的关系。人格研究关系着个体如何生活以及如何体验生活，这方面的工作是最为激动人心的。为此，深入理解人格的适应作用和不适应作用具有极为重要的价值和意义。
