美国文学选读（第一册）

　　《美国文学选读》由复旦大学外文系编注，暂定为三册：第一册，美国独立革命到第一次世界大战；第二册，两次大战之间；第三册，战后到八十年代。本册为第一册。本书每篇由“作者简介”、“题解”、“选文”和“注释”四个部分组成。有些选文因可独立成章，便从略。作家与作品大体按出生年月、发表时间的先后排列。但少数作家、作品因文学流派或地位影响等关系，编排次序稍有变动。本书承北京大学、南京大学、山东大学、厦门大学、杭州大学、华东师范大学、上海师范大学、上海外语学院、洛阳外语学院和上海译文出版社的同志参加审稿，他们对本书初稿提出了许多宝贵意见，谨在此表示衷心感谢。本书编注过程中，得到复旦大学外文系资料室和办公室同志的大力支持，亦在此表示感谢。参加本书编注工作的同志的名字，注在各自所作“作者简介”、“题解”或“注释”的后面。
