　　本书发表于1964年，是美国著名翻译理论家尤金.奈达在其翻译思想成熟期的一部力作。全书以《圣经》翻译为例，把翻译实践与翻译理论紧密结合在一起，把语言学理论引入翻译研究，提出了形式对等等重要概念，是广大翻译工作者和翻译理论研究者必不可少的参考书。开本32开字数570千字

　　尤金·奈达，美国语言学家，翻译家和翻译理论家。1943年获语言学博士学位，长期在美国圣经学会主持翻译部的工作。先后访问过90多上国家和地区，并著书立说，单独或合作出版了40多部书，发表论文250余篇，是世界译坛的一位常青学者。
