本书系根据现行英语教学大纲中有关的要求编写而成的写作教学参考书，旨在帮助学英语的大学生、研究生以及广大英语自学者提高使用英语进行写作的技能，为撰写毕业论文、参加全国统考、书写各种体裁的文章和书信提供辅导和帮助。为了便于读者自学，同时也是为了把问题讲得更透彻一些，我们在个别章节中穿插了一些汉语说明和分析，供对照参考；各章中的文字说明以及有关例文，也尽量按照浅显易懂的实用原则进行编写，力急做到针对性强、简明实用、便于理解、便于吸收，而且容易模仿。本书内容排列顺序比较灵活，读者可根据自己的实际情况灵活使用。尽管写作是层次较高，难度较大，涉及面又广，相对来说又是较为复杂的一项语言技能，但只要肯下功夫，多读我练笔，方法又得当，肯定可以取得进步，本书的目的旨在帮助大学生解决写作这一难题。

这是一本初、中级的“练耳”教程，相当于音乐学院听觉训练的一级到六级的程度，它是一本自学用书，也可做为教学用书。全书分旋律听写与声听写两大部分，共四章。作者通过精心选择和创作的七百余条构唱、听唱、听写、节奏训练等练习，为训练听辨各种音程、和弦、调式、乐曲片段的能力，打下系统的、坚实的音乐听觉基础。并附以练习方法及有关的音乐理论基础知识。
