计算机专业英语教程

　　本书保留了第一版有关计算机的基本体系及常用操作内容，注重所选材料的实用性、广泛性和前瞻性，涵盖了计算机的基本知识、计算机发展、内存管理、计算机安全与维护、人工智能、程序设计、多媒体技术、虚拟真实等诸方面内容。因计算机及其相关技术的高速发展，本版替换了上一版中一些过时内容，代之以“HTML初学者指南”、“计算机发展简史”、“什么是面向对象软件”、“黑客术语”、“什么是虚拟办公”以及“电子商务”。课文后配有综合练习、常用短语和名词术语注释、阅读理解练习及生词表。本书注重词汇与内容的实用性，适合作为计算机及其他相关信息技术专业英语教材。本书前言关于本书一、目的本教程可供各高等学校计算机专业和以计算机为主干课程专业的学生开设计算机英语课使用，也可供有一定英语基础的计算机操作人员进行自学。二、内容新版《计算机专业英语教程》保留了原来有关计算机的基本体系及常用操作内容，注重所选材料的实用性、广泛性和前瞻性，涵盖了计算机的基本知识、计算机发展、内存管理、计算机安全与维护、人工智能、程序设计、多媒体技术、虚拟现实等诸方面内容。因计算机及其相关技术的高速发展，本版替换了上一版中一些过时内容，代之以ABeginner`sGuidetoHTML（HTML初学者指南）、AShortHistoryoftheComputer（计算机发展简史）、WhatisObjectOrientedSoftware？（什么是面向对象软件）、AHackers`Glossary（黑客术语）、AboutVirtualOffice（什么是虚拟办公）以及GoodNewsforECommerce，butShoppersMustBeWary（电子商务消息好，顾客警惕要提高）。三、体例本教材以单元为基本构件。每个单元包括：1.Passage2.NewWords3.Phrases4.Abbreviations5.NotestothePassage6.ComprehensionExercisestothePassage7.ExercisestoTermsandWords8.PassageforReading9.ExercisetothePassageforReading新版新单词的界定在依据1999年5月教育部高等教育司印发的《大学英语教学大纲（修订本）》以及2000年10月10日印发的《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》的基础上进行了一些调整，把在基础英语中相对冷僻而在计算机英语中常用的单词也列入其内。将单词根据它们的使用频率标以分级记号（号为基础词汇；号为常用计算机词汇；号为不常用词汇），以便在教学过程中把握重点，从而使本教程既适合于本科，也适用于专科院校计算机专业的学生。练习的设计除了主课文和阅读材料的理解外，重点放在计算机术语的反复练习上。对使用频率极高的动词也安排了足够的练习。NotestothePassage重点讲解长句难句，为学生课后自学提供方便。全书最后共有四个附录。它们是：主课文的参考译文计算机英语读译技巧计算机英语构词法总词汇表“计算机英语读译技巧”紧密结合本教材，对计算机英语的阅读和翻译进行了归纳和点拨，可有效提高读者的读译能力；“计算机英语构词法”可帮助学生掌
