我国自主海洋卫星已经实现了从单一型号到多种型谱、从试验应用向业务服务的转变，向系列化、业务化的方向快速迈进。海洋系列卫星作为我国民用空间基础设施中长期规划的三大系列卫星，其中绝大部分是极轨卫星，是极地、大气、海洋、冰雪和环境变化的监测利器。本书对近年利用自主海洋卫星数据在南北极海冰遥感方面的研究成果进行了总结，详细介绍了基于不同传感器的海冰密集度、海冰类型、海冰厚度等多个海冰要素的反演算法。本书可供海洋卫星遥感、极地海冰监测与预报等相关领域科研人员及高等院校海洋、遥感等相关专业的师生参考使用。
