夜，与印度盘地亚君闲谈。
忽思著一书，曰《中国社会风俗真诠》（ In Defense of the Chinese Social Institutions ），取外人所著论中国风俗制度之书一一评论其言之得失，此亦为祖国辩护之事。
书中分篇目，大约如次：

二、祖先崇拜（Ancestral Worship）

五、守旧主义（Conservatism）
六、妇女之地位（Position of Woman）
七、社会伦理（Social Ethics）
